Diagnosis
- Culture positive Blastomyces dermatiditis synovitis
(North American Blastomyces)
- Characteristic granulomatous and
micro-abscess findings with fungal organisms largely in the giant
cells visible in H&E or HPS routine stains
- Patient’s Dog also had a lesion biopsied which
was negative for Blastomyces
